DVT is a software development, technology consulting and related services company, with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg and over 400 staff nationally. We employ highly - skilled individuals (both permanently and on long term contract) in the fields of Business Analysis, Process Consulting, Business Architecture, Project Management, Development (Java 7 and .Net) and Software Quality Assurance. We develop turnkey solutions and provide consulting services to over 100 clients, both locally and abroad. The employed individual will be challenged with access to a range of projects at clients across industries, ranging from telecoms, financial and business services. Working with other experienced technologists whose single pursuit is optimal value creation for our customers through the construction of peerless solutions, this dynamic self- starting individual will be schooled in the best practices accumulated through successful delivery on hundreds of software development and/or business assignments. The successful individual, comfortable in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization recognizes the art of facilitation as one of the key skills of a Project Manager and passionately lives the belief that technology not just enables business, but will increasingly become one of the key drivers of successful 21st century businesses. Prioritization of requirements, and the documentation thereof in a manner that is comprehensive enough to reflect understanding of business requirements. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating solutions, achieving deadlines and delivering excellence through effective interaction with clients, suppliers and the internal production team. Responsibilities: Assist/define in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility in collaboration with senior management Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project Execute the project according to the project plan Develop forms and records to document project activities Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures Requirements 8 years’ experience and above in Project Management, preferably within Banking/ FinTech or Insurance. Proven experience managing projects within Risk, Regulatory and Compliance environments. Strong Delivery Management experience. Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technology environments. Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, issue management and dependencies. Experience working within regulated financial services environments. Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Business Management, Information Technology or a related field. Recognized Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM or an equivalent PM certification. Strong planning, coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project environments would be advantageous.
