Are you a qualified finance professional looking for a role where you can take ownership of the full accounting function across a diverse group of businesses? This opportunity offers exposure to seven companies operating across financial services, debt collection, financial wellness and training, and financial investment. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the finance function, from day-to-day accounting through to management reporting, statutory compliance and annual financial statements. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with banks, auditors, SARS, HR and other internal and external stakeholders while contributing to improved financial processes, controls and operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full accounting function through to Annual Financial Statements. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Review monthly salaries, journals and cashbooks. Manage company cashflows and assist with funding requirements. Manage annual external audits. Prepare and submit SARS returns, including Income Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT and DWT. Maintain the general ledger and prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile bank accounts and process month-end journals. Monitor and improve internal financial controls. Liaise with commercial banks regarding funding, covenants, FICA and annual reviews. Oversee payroll functions across the group. Manage finance-related collections, allocations, commissions, disbursements, refunds and other finance department processes. Prepare insurance underwriter reports and related submissions. Assist with BEE certification and Stats SA submissions. Establish and implement finance policies, procedures and workflows to improve efficiencies and reduce manual processes. Assist with special projects and ad hoc finance-related requests. Job Experience and Skills Required Matric / NQF Level 4. BCom (Hons) or equivalent degree/diploma. SAIPA or AGA registered. 3–5 years’ post-articles experience. Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills. Experience with Sage Intacct. Experience with Sage Business Cloud Professional. Experience with Pastel Partner Accounting. Experience with QuickBooks Online. Sound business acumen. Strong planning and organizing skills. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. Adaptable and able to respond effectively to change. Ability to cope with pressure and setbacks.
