DBN000371 – AGRONOMIST – NORTHERN CAPE To deliver expert technical and agronomic support to regional distributors and agents, maximizing product value through specialized crop expertise and collaborative relationships. Required Qualifications & Experience: Educational Background: A Diploma, BA in Agriculture, or BSc degree in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or a closely related field. Industry Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience within the agricultural crop protection sector. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial and technical aspects of relevant product lines and agricultural technologies. Relationship Management: Proven track record in customer-facing roles, with experience managing relationships across farmers, agents, and dealership leadership. Operational Skills: Demonstrated experience in sales execution, logistics management, and organizational coordination. Work Style: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment while maintaining strong autonomy and independence. Certification: CropLife accreditation is required. Technical Competencies & Experience: Technical Product Support Provide in-field technical guidance on, crop protection products. Agronomic Advisory Offer agronomy support tailored to regional crops and farming conditions. Relationship Building Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributor agents and growers. Influence product uptake through credibility, knowledge sharing, and solution-based engagement. Develop and implement business plan. Behavioural Competencies: High level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in crop protection, agronomy, and ag business profession. Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) Delivers industry-leading results. Ability to solve problems. Able to work independently and take initiative. Creative and open-minded to new ideas.
