Well known mine in Rustenburg requires a HRD Manager, with 5 years relevant mining training experience in management (HR/HRD) with mining operations, to lead and manage the HRD functions. Ensure the effective implementation of policies and systems aligned to the organizational strategic imperatives and relevant legal requirements Requirements that must be met: Qualifications Required : * Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent * Mine Overseer / Trade Certificate * HR/HRD Diploma / Degree * HR /HRD post graduate qualification * Travel will also be required Related Knowledge: * Relevant Legislation (mining charter, skills development, MHSA, BBBEE) * Company policies, HRD strategy and procedures * Company HRD strategy * MQA accreditation requirements * Education, training and development methodologies * General HR and OD knowledge * Knowledge of relevant legislation (mining, charter, skills development, MHSA, BBBEE) * Knowledge in change management, leadership & supervisory development Related Skills: * MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) * Financial and budgeting skills * Strategic management skills * Analytical skills * Innovative skills * People management skills * ER Skills Responsibilities: Aligns HRD with the strategic objectives to ensure that the Business Plan imperatives are achieved. Maintains the HRD certification and SETA & QCTO accreditation. Ensures legislative compliance as per relevant legislation e.g. MHSA. Ensures the delivery of quality and effective training in so doing maintain HRD accreditation and certification. Ensures the business plan imperatives are carried out as per plan and SLP targets set out in Section 2 of the MPRDA. Analyses and assesses training effectiveness to determine when revision and enhancements of processes should occur. Change transformation and process optimisation Identifies and recommends initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improving productivity and reducing operating costs within scope and assists with the implementation thereof to contribute to the achievement of operational objectives. Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation. Advises management on business improvements initiatives identified. Stakeholder relations Builds, supports and maintains healthy diverse internal and external relations and implements remedial actions where required. Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved. Safety, health, environment and risk Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance. Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety. Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
