EXPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR Killarney Gardens / Cape Town R30 000 per month A well-established manufacturing business requires a hands-on Export Operations Supervisor to manage the daily activities of its export department and lead a team of approximately nine employees. The successful candidate will oversee the complete export process—from receiving and processing customer orders to coordinating production, documentation, freight and final shipment. This position suits an experienced Export Controller, Senior Export Coordinator or Export Team Leader ready to take ownership of a busy operational department. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the export team, allocate work and monitor daily targets. Process export orders and maintain regular communication with international customers. Coordinate with production, stores and other departments to meet delivery deadlines. Arrange courier, airfreight and sea-freight shipments. Prepare and submit accurate export and shipping documentation. Obtain and negotiate freight rates with forwarders and shipping lines. Prepare invoices, credits, stock transfers and backflushing transactions. Monitor backorders and ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on time. Issue quotations, samples and order acknowledgements. Coordinate export packaging, pallets and related materials. Assist with stock control, stock takes and forecasting. Liaise with Quality Control regarding customer complaints and product-related issues. Maintain accurate customer pricing and product information on the system. Monitor departmental timesheets, attendance and leave. Minimum Requirements: Solid experience in exports, shipping or international logistics. Sound understanding of the complete export process, from customer order to final shipment. Experience working with freight forwarders, couriers, airfreight and sea freight. Good knowledge of export and shipping documentation. Previous experience supervising or leading a small operational team. Strong international customer communication and administrative skills. Good numerical, organisational and problem-solving ability. Able to manage multiple orders, priorities and deadlines accurately. Comfortable working closely with production, stores, stock control and Quality Control. Willing to remain operationally involved and work in the detail.
