Step into a pivotal senior financial leadership role collaborating directly with the group CFO, taking direct ownership of full-function general ledger operations, group subsidiaries, tender costing models, and Sage Evolution accounting systems. A prominent, rapidly expanding commercial enterprise with multiple subsidiary entities is seeking an experienced, strategically minded Senior Financial Manager to oversee their central finance division. This position is custom-built for an accomplished corporate finance leader who excels at bridging technical accounting governance with operational performance, treasury management, and commercial deal-structuring. Operating as a strategic right-hand partner to the Group Chief Financial Officer, you will hold total operational accountability for group management accounts, rolling forecasts, project funding applications, and tender submission costing models. If you are a qualified finance leader with a BCom degree, active SAICA/CIMA/SAIPA registration (or CA(SA) designation), and a proven track record of mentoring teams and optimizing internal controls on platforms like Sage Evolution and Fusion, this organization offers an exceptional executive platform. Key Responsibilities: Full-Function Financial Governance & Reporting: Direct end-to-end accounting operations across the parent company and its subsidiaries, enforcing strict financial controls, statutory compliance, and reporting frameworks. FP&A, Budgeting & Long-Term Financial Planning: Oversee group-wide budgeting cycles, rolling cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial modeling to drive business performance. Project Finance, Tender Costing & Funding: Deliver robust financial modeling and costing analysis for key projects, tender submissions, corporate contracts, and specialized funding applications. Treasury, Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Manage liquidity, insurance portfolios, and cash flows while ensuring strict adherence to South African tax regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards. Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and elevate a high-performing finance team while serving as the primary liaison for banking partners, external auditors, regulatory bodies, and operational division heads. Job Experience and Skills Required: Formal Education & Professional Membership: Completed BCom Degree in Accounting. Professional registration with SAICA , CIMA , or SAIPA is required. Designation as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) will be highly advantageous. Experience Track Record: 7 to 10 years of progressive technical accounting and financial management experience. Proven senior-level exposure directly partnering with, or supporting, CFO and executive board leadership. Demonstrated track record of managing, mentoring, and developing an operational finance team. Technical Domain Competencies: Deep expertise in management accounting, corporate budgeting, financial controls, policy formulation, and South African tax/statutory governance. Solid, hands-on experience in project finance, commercial costing, and contract risk evaluation. Systems & Digital Capabilities: Practical experience operating on Sage Evolution , Pastel Payroll , and Fusion will be highly advantageous.
