This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Junior Accountant who is technically strong, highly analytical and confident taking ownership of the full accounting function, with the opportunity to grow into a broader Financial Manager role. BCom Accounting, BCompt or relevant accounting qualification, with 3–4 years' relevant accounting/finance experience and strong knowledge of South African accounting and taxation requirements Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations and annual financial statements, with strong general ledger and balance sheet ownership Extensive hands-on SARS compliance experience, including VAT201, income tax, PAYE/UIF/SDL submissions, reconciliations and managing SARS queries Experience with group consolidations, intercompany accounting and group reporting, with strong Excel and analytical capabilities Pastel Partner and Sage Evolution experience is essential, with the ability to extract, manipulate and analyse financial information from accounting systems Highly hands-on, detail-oriented and commercially minded, with the ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines and take ownership in a fast-paced environment As Specialist Recruiters for professionals in your industry, we are well geared to represent your best career interests.
