About this role
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to take overall responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operations, profitability, operational performance and strategic growth. The successful candidate will oversee production, sales, customer service, logistics, quality, financial objectives, people management and compliance Key responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality and service delivery. Develop and implement operational strategies, KPIs and corrective actions. Manage budgets, expenses, margins, profitability and financial reporting. Drive sales, business development, customer relationships and market expansion. Oversee production planning and execution, including workflow, stock, waste, quality and turnaround times. Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies. Manage supervisors and operational teams, including performance, IR, training and succession planning. Ensure effective maintenance and management of assets and equipment. Maintain health, safety, quality, compliance and risk-management standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall business performance. Requirements: Degree/diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field. 8–10 years’ management experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level. Experience managing large operational teams. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Proven experience with budgets, profitability and operational KPIs. Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills. Experience in glass manufacturing, glass processing, glazing, aluminium, construction materials or a related industry will be highly advantageous. Proven ability to manage production/operations in a manufacturing environment.
