We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to help improve the quality, reliability, and consistency of software delivered across multiple development teams. This role will focus primarily on test automation using Playwright , while also supporting manual testing, defect investigation, test planning, quality assurance processes, and client-facing support when required. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening testing standards, expanding automation coverage, improving release confidence, and driving quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Testing Review and test completed development work against requirements and acceptance criteria. Conduct manual testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and functional testing. Investigate reported issues, recreate defects, identify patterns, and provide detailed feedback to development teams. Assist with release readiness checks and quality assurance sign-off processes. Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment. Test Automation Create, maintain, and enhance automated tests using Playwright . Expand automated test coverage across critical business applications. Develop and execute regression, smoke, functional, and release test suites. Troubleshoot and maintain existing automated tests to ensure reliability. Contribute to automation strategies that improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort. Process Improvement Help define and implement QA standards, testing methodologies, and quality controls. Develop and maintain testing documentation, test cases, and testing procedures. Standardize testing approaches across multiple development teams. Establish best practices for the creation, maintenance, review, and execution of automated tests. Identify recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements to reduce defects. Collaboration & Support Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Business Stakeholders to understand system requirements and expected outcomes. Provide clear and actionable feedback during testing and defect resolution. Liaise with clients and end users to gather additional information regarding reported issues. Support development teams by validating fixes and ensuring issues are resolved effectively. Defect Management Document defects clearly within Azure DevOps , including: Steps to reproduce Expected vs. actual results Screenshots and supporting evidence Technical observations and findings Perform root cause analysis support and issue investigation. Minimum Requirements Intermediate-level experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices. Practical experience with Playwright or similar automated browser testing tools. Experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated test scripts. Experience integrating automated testing into software delivery and release cycles. Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, issue tracking, and defect reporting. Ability to investigate, reproduce, and document software defects effectively. Experience collaborating with multiple development teams in an Agile environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality outcomes.
