Company and Job Description: An established South African business within the manufacturing and FMCG sector is looking for a Financial Manager to join its Finance team in Midrand. This is a hands-on Financial Manager role where you will take ownership of the full finance function and work closely with management to support the financial performance of the business. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, produce or a product-driven environment would be particularly advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full finance function Prepare and review monthly management accounts Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Manage general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts Analyse financial performance and provide management with financial insights Manage cash flow and working capital Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Oversee statutory and tax compliance requirements Maintain strong internal financial controls Support internal and external audit processes Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls Provide financial guidance and support to management Drive finance process improvements and efficiencies Job Experience and Skills Required: Qualification: B.Com Accounting, Finance or relevant qualification Completed SAICA articles Experience: Minimum 3 years’ post-article experience Strong full finance function experience Manufacturing, FMCG or produce industry experience advantageous Experience within a product-driven environment advantageous Strong management accounting and financial reporting exposure Technical Skills: Financial accounting Management accounting Budgeting and forecasting Accounts payable and receivable Financial reporting Cash flow management Tax and statutory compliance Strong Microsoft Excel skills The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is: Hands-on and commercially minded Strong technically and financially Confident taking ownership of the full finance function Analytical and detail-oriented Proactive and solutions-driven Strong in stakeholder management Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Reliable and accountable A strong team player Able to communicate effectively with management and operational teams Why consider this opportunity?
