An exciting opportunity is available for a dynamic Financial Controller who can take ownership of the full accounting function , lead a team and provide reliable financial information to support the business. If you have completed articles, enjoy getting involved in the detail and have experience within a dynamic manufacturing, mining or similarly operational environment , this could be the opportunity for you. Job Description The successful candidate will take responsibility for the full accounting function and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and strong financial controls. This position requires someone who can balance technical accounting with people management and operational involvement . You need to be comfortable working in a demanding environment where priorities can change and Finance plays an active role in supporting the business. Duties & Responsibilities Take ownership of the full accounting function Manage month-end processes and financial reporting Prepare and review management accounts Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity Assist with budgeting and forecasting Monitor cash flow and working capital Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Ensure compliance with relevant tax and statutory requirements Coordinate year-end and external audit requirements Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls Manage and support members of the finance team Partner with operational stakeholders across the business Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies Job Experience & Skills Required Qualifications: BCom degree Completed articles Experience: Minimum 2+ years' relevant experience Full-function accounting experience Previous management/team leadership experience Exposure to a manufacturing, mining or similarly fast-paced operational environment would be highly advantageous Skills & Competencies: Strong financial and management accounting ability Financial reporting Month-end and general ledger management Internal controls Budgeting and forecasting Strong Excel skills Excellent attention to detail Confident stakeholder engagement Strong people-management skills A dynamic, proactive and adaptable personality Apply now!
