ACCOUNTANT Location: Edenvale, Gauteng | Manufacturing Industry Are you an experienced Accountant looking for your next career move within the manufacturing industry? We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join a dynamic team based in Edenvale. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent financial reporting skills, and the ability to manage financial processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Minimum Requirements BCom degree in Accounting or a relevant financial qualification (essential). Minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience (essential). Experience within the manufacturing industry will be advantageous. Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles will be advantageous. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Monitor expenses, cash flow, and financial transactions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Analyse financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. Support costing and inventory-related accounting processes where required. Assist with audit preparations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements. Provide financial information and support to management to facilitate informed business decisions. Skills and Competencies Strong financial and numerical aptitude.
