DBN000399 - Estimator - Pietermaritzburg Purpose of the Job: To prepare cost estimates and tender quotations from technical drawings, while sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, and managing project costs and logistics. Required Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) required. A qualification in Engineering, Cost Estimating, or a related technical field would be advantageous. Relevant experience in estimating, costing, pricing, and tender preparation is essential. Technical Competencies & Experience: Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender pricing. Interpret drawings and extract information for pricing. Source materials, obtain supplier quotes, and negotiate pricing. Calculate and manage project costs and budgets. Coordinate purchasing, planning, and logistics. Maintain accurate costing records and pricing schedules. Ensure tenders and quotations are accurate and submitted on time.
