Join a growing telecommunications organisation as a Senior / Principal Software Engineer - Data Platform , where you will lead the design, reliability, and evolution of a modern data ecosystem spanning cloud infrastructure, warehouse technologies, APIs, and large-scale data integrations. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Own and enhance a mission-critical PostgreSQL data warehouse and integration platform. Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines and scheduled cloud-based load jobs. Lead the development and maintenance of platform APIs consumed by internal applications. Ensure data integrity, availability, security, and performance across production environments. Drive engineering best practices, code reviews, testing standards, and platform governance. Investigate and resolve platform incidents while implementing preventative improvements. Mentor developers and contribute to technical leadership across multiple systems. Partner closely with operations, finance, billing, and network teams to ensure data accuracy and business continuity. Tech Stack You will be working extensively with: PostgreSQL SQL Node.js Python Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Secret Manager, IAM) Firebase Authentication Microsoft Graph GitHub & CI/CD practices Essential Skills, Qualifications, Experience 8+ years of professional software engineering experience. Proven experience owning and supporting production data platforms, integration layers, or similar enterprise systems. Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience designing and supporting cloud-based scheduled jobs and data pipelines. Strong understanding of security, environment management, access control, and software delivery practices. Experience mentoring developers and driving engineering standards. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Advantageous Experience Telecommunications, ISP, OSS/BSS, billing, fibre network, or operational data environments. Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer. Exposure to C#, Java, Go, or Rust. Why Apply? This is more than a development role.
