We are in this together Our team is our greatest asset Purpose We need a JavaScript Front End Developer who can hit the ground running in assisting us with developing and maintaining world-class web-based applications Functions [but not limited to] Attend daily stand-ups and sprint kick-offs and retrospectives bi-weekly. Work off cards in the current sprint each day, do a daily deployment of code, and share release notes with the team Assess and resolve live bugs, contribute to UX design and implementation, review code, and test for edge cases, usability, and general reliability Designing, building, and maintaining reader-based platforms of the Snapplify product Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Unit-testing of all code for robustness Bug fixing and improving application performance Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency Adhering to company product methodology and processes (Agile/SCRUM), and contributing to company product architecture Producing quality code under the guidance of the Lead Developer Taking part in any training and development opportunities the company provides Staying up to date and implementing critical changes to the development technologies used by the company Skills, Attributes & Qualifications Diploma/Degree in Software Development or similar Competence in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (standard LESS, SCSS, or knowledgeable of compiled CSS). Strong UX design skills. Knowledge in Vue.js, React.js, or similar frameworks Knowledge building or working in desktop applications based on NW.js, Electron, or similar. Experience with GitHub or another version control system. Familiarity with using Scrum/Agile development methodologies. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. Experience building HTML/CSS components. Experience using REST API interfaces. Experience with Node.Js, NPM, and build scripts. Experience with transpired JavaScript (Babel etc.) Experience with source control. Experience with command-line usage.
