The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients, providing audit, accounting, taxation and financial reporting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients, providing audit, accounting, taxation and financial reporting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities Plan and perform audit assignments. Prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with applicable reporting standards. Prepare management accounts. Review accounting records and reconciliations. Prepare and review income tax returns. Prepare and review VAT returns. Assist clients with accounting and financial reporting queries. Prepare working papers using CaseWare. Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong client relationships. Ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act and tax legislation. Mentor and assist junior staff where required. Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting degree. Completed SAICA Articles (essential). 2–5 years' experience in an accounting and auditing practice. Proficient in CaseWare. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) would be advantageous. Good knowledge of IFRS for SMEs. Strong understanding of South African tax legislation. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport would be advantageous. Personal Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
