Are you an experienced technician looking to work hands-on with flight hardware operating in orbit? We are recruiting a Production Technician to join our client’s space communication division, focusing on the assembly, integration, and testing of high-rate RF and digital communication units. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Integration: Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of RF and digital communication units, including fine-pitch PCB assembly, wiring, cable harnesses, and mechanical integration. Testing & Performance: Conduct functional, environmental, and RF performance testing using laboratory test equipment (spectrum analysers, vector network analysers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power meters). Fault-Finding & Quality: Perform component-level troubleshooting on analogue, digital, and RF circuits. Handle flight hardware strictly according to ESD, cleanliness, and FOD control standards. Qualification Support: Assist with qualification and acceptance test campaigns, including thermal cycling, vibration, and thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing. Support test jig development and work instruction creation Minimum Requirements Education: B-Tech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Technician working with RF and communication systems in an electronic manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs, with expertise in component-level fault-finding and RF testing. Legal: South African citizenship or valid work permit.
