Electrical Engineer SLD (Single-Line Diagram) vacancy in Pretoria West. Key responsibilities include designing, testing, running simulations, writing specifications, and supporting the production of power conversion equipment (DC-AC and AC-AC) and power conversion solutions. In-depth knowledge of solar, industrial PCS, grid code compliance, site reticulation, and microgrid is required. A BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering is required. Electrical Engineer SLD (Single-Line Diagram) Pretoria West Qualifications & Requirements: BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering. 2–5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering (preferably LV/MV systems). Experience with solar PV, commercial inverters, microgrids, and grid code compliance in both LV and MV situations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink) CAD software for schematic design Understand protection equipment Reticulation design and familiarity with power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs). Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Conceptualize and design power electronics circuits, including inverter topologies, magnetic components, SLD’s for products. Testing & Validation: Write and perform hands-on testing of prototypes. Understanding of inverter safety standards is a plus. Production Support: Optimize manufacturing processes following quality standards (e.g., ISO9001). Component Evaluation: Evaluate and select components for efficiency, cost-saving, and obsolescence management.
