My client, a well established fruit exporter is looking for a highly organised logistics professional with a passion for the fresh produce industry. The purpose of this role is ensuring the efficient movement of fresh fruit from packhouse to international markets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fruit export industry, as well as a Diploma or Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or a related field. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process for fruit exports. Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, cold storage facilities, transport providers, and export agents. Schedule and monitor container bookings, loading plans, and vessel departures. Ensure compliance with export regulations, phytosanitary requirements, and customer specifications. Track shipments and proactively manage delays, deviations, and logistical challenges. Prepare and verify export documentation, including shipping instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists, and relevant certificates. Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting. Collaborate closely with procurement, production, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Commerce, or a related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the fruit export or fresh produce industry. Strong understanding of export procedures, shipping documentation, and cold-chain logistics. Experience working with international customers and service providers. Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
