An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established company within the road freight and cross-border logistics industry. Responsibilities: Processing supplier invoices, customer invoices, receipts and payments. Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Reconciling bank accounts, fuel accounts, supplier accounts and customer accounts. Recording journal entries and maintaining the general ledger. Compiling monthly management reports. Managing the debtors' book and following up on overdue accounts. Processing creditor payments and administering supplier accounts. Assisting with cash flow forecasting and budget preparation. Compiling VAT schedules and supporting statutory compliance requirements. Maintaining financial records relating to trucks, fuel, toll fees, repairs, cross-border expenses and driver advances. Communicating with management, auditors, suppliers and customers regarding financial matters. Ensuring financial records are complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with company requirements. Requirements: Matric. A tertiary qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years' bookkeeping experience within the transport and logistics industry. Previous experience within the cross-border logistics industry would be advantageous. Proficient in Sage Accounting Online. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. High level of honesty and integrity, with exceptional attention to detail.
