Our client, a leading courier company, is seeking an experienced Nightshift Site Supervisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a retail distribution centre background who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of risk operations, and playing a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth running of a fast-paced nightshift environment. Responsibilities: Oversee warehouse operations, site security and risk management activities during the night shift to ensure a safe, secure and well-controlled operational environment. Monitor loading and offloading activities to minimise stock losses, theft and damage. Identify, investigate and report suspicious activity, pilferage and potential security risks. Monitor damaged stock and ensure adherence to quality control procedures. Identify operational vulnerabilities and escalate concerns to the relevant stakeholders. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with operational and security procedures. Oversee access control procedures, including personnel and vehicle access. Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to identify and respond to potential security breaches. Conduct routine inspections of the facility to ensure perimeter security and operational compliance. Supervise on-site security personnel and ensure patrols, incident reporting and security procedures are effectively carried out. Conduct preliminary investigations into security incidents, losses and operational irregularities. Gather relevant information, document findings and maintain accurate records of incidents. Prepare detailed shift reports outlining incidents, investigations, identified risks and operational observations. Communicate key findings and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Requirements: Previous experience within a security, risk, or warehouse environment, preferably within a retail distribution centre. PSIRA Grade C certification will be advantageous. Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems and security procedures. Willingness and ability to work permanent night shifts (Monday to Friday).
