An established and diversified group based in Sandton is seeking a hands-on Group Financial Manager to take ownership of the finance function across multiple operating entities. This role is ideal for a commercially minded CA(SA) who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment, ensuring financial integrity, driving process improvements, and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions. Minimum Requirements CA(SA) designation (essential). 3–6 years post-articles experience. Experience working within group environments. Exposure to multiple legal entities and group reporting. Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and IFRS. Solid knowledge of tax legislation and compliance requirements, including VAT, income tax and PAYE. Strong management accounting and commercial finance skills. Comfortable working in a hands-on role where required. Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the group finance function across all subsidiaries. Ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting at both entity and group level. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, variance analyses and supporting commentary. Oversee group consolidations, intercompany accounting and eliminations. Act as custodian of all financial controls, policies and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation and statutory requirements, with support from external advisors where applicable. Manage and coordinate the year-end audit process, including engagement with external auditors. Own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process across the group, including regular forecasting and variance analysis against actual performance. Manage group cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and working capital. Manage and provide advice on group treasury investments. Provide proactive oversight of debtors, creditors and cash optimisation. Lead, mentor and develop the finance support team. Set clear responsibilities, workflows and performance expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and financial efficiency across the group.
