A client of ours within the Engineering Sector is looking for an Engineering Claims Handler to join their dynamic team Location: Western Cape Requirements: Experience: 3-5 years minimum in short-term insurance, specifically handling commercial or engineering claims Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12), RE5 examination (Level 1) completion, and a relevant NQF Level 5 qualification in insurance or finance Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, construction sectors, and policy coverage Software Proficiency: Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with claims management systems Responsibilities: Manage full claim cycles from FNOL (First Notification of Loss) to final settlement Appoint and liaise with assessors, loss adjusters, and technical experts Negotiate with contractors and suppliers on repairs or replacements Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., FICA, POPIA)
