About the role: We are looking for a driven and professional Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join a growing pharmaceutical company and take responsibility for developing and managing relationships with healthcare professionals across the Pretoria region. This role is ideal for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys working in the field, building strong relationships and creating awareness of innovative pharmaceutical and healthcare solutions. You will be responsible for growing the company's presence within the healthcare professional (HCP) market by engaging with General Practitioners, Specialists, Dietitians, Homeopaths, Paediatricians, Dispensing Pharmacists and other allied healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow an allocated territory by developing strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, including GPs, specialists, dietitians, pharmacists and other HCPs. Achieve agreed sales targets, KPIs, call rates, volume and market share objectives. Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer accounts. Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits to promote the company's pharmaceutical, compounding and healthcare products and services. Develop and implement effective territory plans to maximise customer coverage, sales opportunities and productivity. Deliver professional product presentations and detailing using approved marketing materials. Drive customer registrations, product awareness and appropriate orders within the allocated territory. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and market developments, providing relevant insights and feedback to management and marketing. Accurately record customer visits, calls, feedback, opportunities and activities on the company's CRM system. Manage territory-related expenses, travel routes and marketing activities within the approved budget. Attend required company training and ensure ongoing knowledge of products, services and relevant industry developments. Represent the company professionally and ethically at all times, ensuring a high standard of customer service and engagement. Minimum requirements: Matric BSc/BCom Degree (preferred) Previous experience in pharmaceutical, medical, healthcare or related sales would be advantageous. Proven experience in a field-based sales role . Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong commercial awareness and a target-driven approach. Excellent planning, organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage an allocated territory. Comfortable with frequent travel within the designated region. Strong computer and CRM skills. Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle . Able to start as soon as possible.
