Fitter Vacancy JHB - Eastern Suburbs - Brakpan| Contractor Mid-Career (2 - 4 yrs exp) Duties and Responsibilities: Purpose of the Position To perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment within the gold processing plant to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, safe operation and production efficiency while complying with all statutory and company requirements. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent (NQF Level 4) Qualified Fitter Trade Test (Red Seal / Section 13 or Section 26D) N2 Engineering Studies (advantageous) Valid Code B driver's licence Computer literacy (MS Office and CMMS/SAP PM experience advantageous) Valid Medical Certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate Experience Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in a gold processing plant, mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environment.Proven experience maintaining: Crushers Screens Conveyors Pumps Gearboxes Agitators Thickeners Cyclones Mills (SAG/Ball) Vibrating feeders Slurry pipelines Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience in planned maintenance systems. Experience working during shutdowns and plant outages. Experience with condition monitoring techniques will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance Perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance. Attend to plant breakdowns safely and efficiently. Diagnose mechanical faults and identify root causes. Strip, inspect, repair, and rebuild mechanical equipment. Replace bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, and drive components.
