Our client, based in Pretoria, is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in the fuel or retail industry to oversee branch operations, lead high-performing teams, and contribute to the continued success of a growing business. Job Purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of a primary fuel station while providing operational support and oversight to two additional branches as required. The role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, staff performance, financial control, compliance, and exceptional customer service across all assigned sites. REQUIREMENTS Minimum education: National Senior Certificate Minimum applicable experience (years): 2-8 years experience Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership and people management skills Stock control and inventory management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Administrative and reporting skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work under pressure Other: Proficient in Afrikaans and English Own transport and license KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Branch Operations Manage the daily operations of the primary fuel station Provide operational support and weekend oversight to two additional branches as required Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards Monitor branch performance and implement operational improvements Staff Management Lead, coach, and develop branch staff Monitor employee performance and manage staff rosters Ensure compliance with employment policies and procedures Stock & Financial Management Oversee stock ordering, stock control, and stock takes Manage cash-ups and month-end procedures Oversee debtors, creditors, and daily financial administration Monitor financial performance and ensure operational profitability Customer Service Ensure exceptional customer service standards Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly Maintain a welcoming and customer-focused environment Compliance & Health & Safety Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions where required Oversee employment equity processes and maintain regulatory compliance
