Master Data Controller Qualification Matric / Senior Certificate with Mathematics and Accounting Requirements Minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience in a risk, compliance or data environment Relevant JDE and or Syspro experience will be advantageous Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to identify discrepancies, interpret data and resolve issues effectively Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and data quality in a high-volume environment Ability to work with speed, precision and consistency under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines Highly organised and results-driven, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and drive continuous improvement High levels of integrity, accountability, sound judgement and a strong work ethic, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Clear and professional communicator with a customer-service mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders Duties Maintain a thorough understanding of master data requirements, standards and business rules; Capture and maintain accurate, complete and validated master data information in the relevant ERP system; Conduct regular master data audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates and outdated account information within the relevant ERP system; Maintain complete and verifiable audit logs of all master data changes to support internal and external audit requirements; Generate, review and analyse exception reports to identify anomalies before they impact processing accuracy or business controls; Develop and execute corrective data clean-up plans based on audit findings to prevent recurring data quality issues; Review and recommend updates to the Master Data Manuals in line with changes to compliance legislation, SARS requirements and internal banking security protocols; Resolve master data queries within agreed service level agreements; Process master data requests in accordance with the latest Master Data Manuals, including required verification through Standard Bank, TransUnion and the South African Revenue Service (SARS); Ensure adherence to the company’s delegation of authority, internal controls and applicable statutory requirements; and Perform ad hoc duties within the reasonable scope of the role, as required.
