Procurement and Shipping My client from a Packaging Company is seeking a Procurement and Shipping Controller (Multimodal) Monitor and follow up on orders placed Monitor shipment status Airfreight, Courier, Sea freights FCL and LCL daily Work through Shipment status reports from forwarders Obtain a Spot Rate from forwarder for shipment in question Add tariff headings and forward to service provider Clearing instructions to be completed and mailed to Clearing Agent Shipping documents must be prepared accordingly Shipment costings prepared in advance Provide Supplier invoice, Freight Forwarder Invoice and packing list to Accounts Forward information on planned deliveries to Despatch and External warehouse receiving department for both overseas supplier and local suppliers Stock Management / Procurement Place orders and follow up with suppliers to obtain order ready date Stock forecasting Negotiate rates Add order confirmation or proforma invoice received Once stock is ready for shipment consolidate orders from same supplier Supplier non-conformance report (SNCR) must be raised on all faulty stock Goods return note to be sent to local suppliers if stock is rejected and returned
