Somerset West area, Western Cape Province – South Africa: The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring effective financial controls and supporting the financial management of the business. The role has a strong focus on fruit industry accounting, including producer accounts, sales, cost of sales, debtors, creditors, banking, QX/Prophet, export costs and statutory compliance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance. 5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience. Experience with Pastel . Experience with QX/Prophet or a similar agricultural ERP system Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Good understanding of VAT, PAYE and income tax. Strong analytical, organisational and reconciliation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
