A senior and experienced HCV Claims Consultan t is required to manage the full claims process for heavy commercial vehicles and related risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling claims from initial notification through to finalisation, while providing professional service to clients and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, insurers and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage HCV and GIT claims from registration through to settlement and finalisation. Assess claims in line with policy wording, coverage, liability and excess requirements. Handle claims relating to trucks, trailers, fleets and heavy commercial vehicles. Liaise with clients, brokers, insurers, assessors, loss adjusters, repairers and towing companies. Investigate and resolve complex or escalated claims and queries. Ensure all claims documentation is accurate, complete and processed within required timeframes. Monitor outstanding claims and follow up with relevant parties to ensure efficient resolution. Identify potential fraudulent or irregular claims and escalate where necessary. Provide professional, knowledgeable and responsive service to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and insurers. Keep clients informed throughout the claims process and manage expectations effectively. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, insurer requirements and relevant legislation. Maintain accurate records and update claims systems accordingly. Assist with resolving disputes and negotiating appropriate claim outcomes. Minimum Requirements Matric / Grade 12. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in HCV and GIT claims. Previous experience working within a broker environment is essential. Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle and goods-in-transit insurance. Good understanding of different insurance products, insurers and policy requirements. Proven experience dealing directly with clients and managing client relationships. Strong understanding of the end-to-end claims process. Short-Term Insurance qualification / NQF Level 4 would be advantageous. RE5 would be advantageous. FAIS-related experience or compliance knowledge would be beneficial. Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and claims administration systems. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced HCV and GIT claims professional who has worked within a broker environment and understands both the technical and client-facing aspects of claims. They should be confident dealing with clients, insurers and other stakeholders, have strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, and be capable of independently managing complex claims from start to finish. **Only candidates with relevant commercial or heavy commercial vehicle claims experience will be considered. **
