Systems Engineer Location: Gqeberha R 45 000 - R 60 000 PM Powered by Linux. Driven by curiosity . We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer with strong Linux and networking experience to help build, maintain, and automate the infrastructure that keeps our services running reliably. If you're passionate about automation, problem-solving, and operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Linux servers and services. Automate provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks. Support network services including DNS, routing, and BGP. Monitor system performance and respond to incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions. Plan upgrades, patching, and capacity improvements. Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks. Collaborate with support, development, and network teams. Requirements Proven Linux administration experience in a production environment. Strong knowledge of system administration and troubleshooting. Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and BGP. Passion for automation and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Advantageous ISP, telecommunications, or call centre experience. Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools. Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, etc.). Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
