Our client is seeking an exceptional Chief Technology & AI Officer to shape and execute a technology strategy that will transform how the organisation operates, engages audiences and delivers digital experiences. Responsibilities: Define and execute the organisation's technology and AI strategy Lead enterprise-wide digital and technology transformation Build scalable, modern and resilient technology platforms Identify and implement high-value AI use cases Drive data, personalisation and real-time analytics capabilities Enable innovation across digital products and customer experiences Partner with commercial, product and operational leaders to unlock new revenue opportunities Lead and develop high-performing technology, engineering, data and AI teams Engage at CEO, ExCo and Board level Designing and deploying AI/ML solutions into production Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) AI-powered customer experiences Recommendation and personalisation engines Real-time analytics and decisioning AI-driven automation Computer vision and intelligent media solutions Taking AI initiatives from proof-of-concept to production and scale Demonstrating measurable business outcomes from AI Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, AI or a related technical discipline. Honours/Master's advantageous. Approximately 12–20 years' experience in technology, engineering, digital, data or related fields. Current or recent experience as a CIO, CTO, Chief Digital Officer, Head of AI, Head of Technology, Head of Engineering, Technology Director or equivalent — including strong candidates one level below these roles. Proven experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, mobile money or technology-led financial services.Experience building and scaling high-volume, customer-facing digital platforms. AI experience is critical We are looking for someone who has actually implemented AI, not simply developed an AI strategy. Technology experience Strong exposure to: Cloud | Microservices | APIs | Event-driven architecture | Real-time analytics | Data platforms | Software Engineering | DevOps | Digital Products | Cybersecurity | AI Governance Experience operating platforms at significant scale and serving millions of customers, users or digital interactions will be highly advantageous.
