A well-established education-focused organisation based in George, in the heart of the Garden Route, is seeking a highly organised and experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of its full finance function. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with leadership and providing meaningful financial insight that supports the organisation's day-to-day operations and long-term objectives. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of and oversee the full finance function Partner with leadership on financial management, expenditure control and decision-making Manage annual operational and capital budgeting processes Analyse monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial insights Monitor daily income and expenditure against approved budgets Oversee procurement, accounts payable and supplier management processes Manage debtors, collections and payment follow-ups Ensure discounts, bursaries and related financial processes are accurately applied Prepare and review monthly reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting Review and submit accurate billing information Monitor event and activity budgets and report on variances Qualifications & Skills: Completed Matric Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification advantageous 7–10 years' experience within a finance or accounting environment Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Apply now!
