Commercial Manager | Germiston Up to R1.3 Million CTC per annum, including 13th cheque Are you a commercially astute finance professional who knows how to turn costing, contracts and commercial insight into profitable business decisions? An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial Manager within a leading organisation operating in the mining, engineering and construction environment. This is not a traditional finance role. We are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of finance, commercial strategy, tenders and customer negotiations. You will play an integral role in protecting margins, evaluating commercial opportunities and ensuring that contracts and tenders make financial sense for the business. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial aspects of tenders, bids and customer proposals . Lead and support customer and contract negotiations from a commercial perspective. Analyse costing, margins, profitability and pricing to support commercially sound decisions. Work extensively with BOMs and product/project costing . Analyse and manage P&L performance , identifying risks and opportunities. Review contractual terms and evaluate their financial and commercial implications. Partner with finance, sales, operations and other key stakeholders. Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to senior management. Identify opportunities to improve margins, profitability and commercial performance. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom degree or relevant higher qualification. Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial role . Strong combination of finance and commercial experience . Proven exposure to tender management . Strong customer-facing and contract negotiation experience . Solid understanding of costing and BOMs . Strong P&L management and profitability analysis experience. Experience within mining, engineering or construction . Commercially minded with strong analytical and negotiation capabilities. Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
