The Non-Revenue-Water (NRW) Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales and technical support for control valves and Vidi Smart products. This diverse role will include product management locally and development within the wider organization; technical sales and project support for all NRW products. Due to the nature of this role, the candidate will be comfortable in a customer-facing environment leading technical discussions on the correct solution for a range of different project requirements. These range from new technology pilot installations to on-going large scale rollouts. The product range consists of pressure management and data recording products to allow insight into the customer’s water networks with a purpose of reducing pipeline leakage, therefore experience in water network demand management is vital. QUALIFICATIONS Mechanical, Hydraulic or Internet of Things (IoT) Engineering Diploma / Degree or equivalent Training qualification/certification (e.g., Train the Trainer) or equivalent experience (preferred) Valid Driver’s license SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years of field/sales experience in water networks management or leak detection Minimum 5 years’ experience in water product sales or business development Experience in the field of IoT and connectivity Strong mechanical and hydraulic aptitude with hands-on experience with control valves, SCADA systems and/or data loggers Experience with site commissioning and start-up activities for pressure management valves Excellent understanding of clean water networks, pressure and leakage management Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostics of valve-related issues Ability to interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and P&IDs Comfortable delivering on-site technical training to customers on NRW solutions Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites, including internationally if required Software Proficiency – Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) Understanding of the OSH Act and how to conduct oneself on site safely Experience in developing and delivering technical training programs (preferred) RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales: Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales Assist Customer Service with quotations and tenders, ensuring accurate and compliant submissions Proactively follow up on outstanding quotations and tenders to maximize conversion rates Conduct technical product, skills, and training tailored to control valve and non-revenue water sector clients Maintain up-to-date sales activity reporting through CRM Expand cleints water client base through control valve and NRW project channels Effectively service existing and new water sector clients Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and finance teams to develop water-focused value propositions and proposals Travel regularly to client sites, water utilities, trade shows, and industry events as required Provide monthly NRW market and project reports Project Delivery: Support and lead NRW product installations Pre-report on VIDI product projects for criteria such as NB-IoT coverage and installation challenges Support with sizing and specification of control valves for a varied range of project types Report on successful installations and provide feedback to customers on water savings Continue to support projects remotely using the VIDI platform Offer feedback to wider teams on product successes and failures Provide photos and commentary for project case studies (Marketing) Training: Prepare and deliver customer training sessions on NRW and control valves.
