Our client in Orkney in the mine industry is looking for a Mineral Resource Management (MRM) Statistician with a BSc Honours degree in Geology, Mathematics or Statistics to join them. Salary depending on experience and qualifications. Minimum requirements: BSc Honours degree in Geology, Mathematics or Statistics 3 - 5 Years experience working with statistical analysis in the mining, geology or mineral resources environment (Essential) Strong knowledge of statistical and data-analysis methods Experience with statistical or geological software and data management systems Strong MS Excel skills, experience with geostatistical software will be advantageous Excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary mining environment Knowledge and experience in mineral resource estimation, classification and QA / QC principles Analyze and interpret geological, exploration, sampling and production data Conduct data validation, quality control and statistical reviews Assist with monthly resource models and grade control models Identify trends, anomalies, variability and potential risks within mining data Assist with processes and reporting Collaborate with Geologist, Mining Engineers, Surveyors, Metallurgists and other Technical Teams Consultant: Edna Anderhold - Dante Personnel Pretoria Silver Lakes Apply via our website www.dantesa.co.za If you do not hear from us within 5 days, please accept that your application was unsuccessful
