As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strong reporting across the group. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, you will provide oversight to investee entities, support investment decision-making through financial analysis, and contribute to the financial strategies guiding the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Control Assist with planning, implementing, and reporting on financial transactions across all group entities. Compile and review monthly internal reports. Compile internal and external reports arising from financial activities. Compile and review annual financial statements and coordinate audit processes. Oversee financial controls and outsourced accounting functions. Maintain financial processes, procedures, and controls across the group. Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, legislative requirements, and internal policies. Implement and maintain robust internal controls across all entities. Cash Flow & Operations Manage short-term cash flow planning and oversee banking transactions. Supervise and support the bookkeeper to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing. Consult with external advisors on accounting matters. Maintain adequate insurance coverage for major assets. Investment & Strategic Support Prepare financial models, ROI analyses, and scenario planning to support investment evaluations. Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and preparing investor reports. Contribute to budgeting and strategic planning processes. Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership. Liaise with auditors and investment partners to support smooth year-end processes. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom Accounting or Finance Honours degree. CA(SA) or CIMA preferred. 3–5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within investment, asset management, or holding company environments. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidated reporting. Advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial modeling and ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, or similar. Strong analytical ability and the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly. High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
