Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative. About the YES Initiative: The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position: Legal Secretary Stipend: R8500 Location: Limpopo (Polokwane) About the role The Legal Secretary supports attorneys by preparing legal documents, managing court filings, communicating with clients, organising case files, and assisting with legal billing and taxation matters. Responsibilities: Drafting Legal documents: Court Pleadings & Notices, Formal letters to clients and Affidavits. Filing Court documents: Pleading Notices, preparing file for court, uploading documents on court online. Telephone & mail Correspondences: real-time talking with clients (answering & making calls), call handling, making appointments with doctors for third party clients. Drafting bill of costs: reviewing the file & court order, preparing bill, correlating with tariffs, listing disbursements, formatting the documents, serving & uploading taxation documents on court online, applying for taxation dates, following-up with expert’s invoices. Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric.
