Company and Job Description: A large and established South African organisation is looking for a Group Financial Accountant CA(SA) to join its Finance team in the West Coast of Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified CA(SA) to transition into a commercial environment while gaining exposure to group reporting, financial accounting, tax, audit, accounting standards and finance process improvement . Key Responsibilities: Assist with monthly financial and management reporting Support the preparation and review of group financial information Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements Perform financial reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial information Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes Support tax-related requirements and compliance Assist with audit processes and liaise with external auditors Support the preparation of audit schedules and working papers Apply relevant accounting standards to financial reporting requirements Identify opportunities to simplify and improve finance processes Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Support the Finance team with group reporting requirements Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives Job Experience and Skills Required: Qualification: CA(SA) qualification Completed SAICA articles Experience: Newly qualified CA(SA) or recently completed articles Candidates from small or medium-sized audit firms are encouraged to apply Strong understanding of accounting standards Strong audit and financial reporting exposure Exposure to tax and compliance Commercial finance exposure advantageous Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills Financial reporting Financial accounting Audit and assurance Tax and compliance Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting standards Business Central advantageous Power BI advantageous The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is: Accurate and highly organised Positive and proactive A strong team player Self-motivated and willing to take ownership Analytical and solutions-driven Comfortable working in a changing environment Interested in understanding the bigger picture Focused on simplifying and improving processes Reliable and committed to building a long-term career Comfortable working collaboratively within a close-knit Finance team Why consider this opportunity?
