JUNIOR WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR Location: Philippi, Cape Town Department: Operations Employment Type: Permanent Our client is looking for a Junior Warehouse Supervisor to assist with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, supporting both the Relocations and Records Management operations. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with warehouse experience who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory role. The successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations, stock and records management, basic administration, forklift operation, customer collections and deliveries, and coordinating a small team. Key Responsibilities Assist with the daily running, organisation and housekeeping of the warehouse. Receive, check, label, store and dispatch goods and records accurately. Ensure items are stored correctly and can be easily located and traced. Assist with loading, unloading, moving and organising stock and customer goods. Operate a forklift safely and responsibly. Assist with stock checks and report shortages, damages or discrepancies. Ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe and well organised. Complete basic warehouse documentation and capture information accurately on computer systems. Assist with maintaining records of incoming and outgoing goods. Use email, Microsoft Office and other relevant systems for daily administration. Assist with local customer collections and deliveries when required. Interact professionally with customers and assist with queries. Assist in coordinating daily tasks and allocating work to warehouse staff. Provide guidance and support to junior warehouse staff and ensure procedures are followed. Work closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Report any operational, staffing, safety or customer issues to management. Follow all health, safety, security and company procedures. Assist with any other reasonable warehouse or operational duties as required. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, storage, removals or similar environment . Some experience assisting with or coordinating other staff will be advantageous. Valid forklift operator's licence. Valid Code 10 driver's licence. Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office and email skills. Good communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with customers. Good organisational and administrative skills. Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment. Reliable transport and able to travel to Philippi, Cape Town . Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have solid warehouse experience and a hands-on approach , but does not necessarily need extensive supervisory experience. We are looking for someone who is ready to grow into a leadership position, can take responsibility for daily warehouse activities, and is comfortable working between warehouse operations, administration, forklift duties and customer interaction .
