Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative. About the YES Initiative: The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position: Project Leader Eletrical Engineering Stipend: R8500 Location: Gauteng (Randburg) About the role Lead the project delivery for an assignment that involves electrical engineering services projects or part thereof. Responsibilities: Produce full scope of services as defined by ECSA and other built environment bodies as expected Do stage 1 to 6 deliverables Always meet client’s requirements and expectations Refined time management skills Ensure that projects are executed profitably as agreed with Chief Executive Officer Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric. BSc Electrical Engineering or B Tech Electrical Engineering, either with professional registration with ECSA. Functional Workplace Competencies Analytical Work well in a team environment Attention to detail Proactive person Behavioural Competencies Polite and cordial Willing to learn and to innovate Perseverance Being able to make a good first impression Articulate and well spoken Skills Being able to lead the professional team, including the back office. LV and MV design skills Analytical and technical skills Being able to provide innovative solutions to conventional problems.
