Are you a commercially astute Supply Chain leader who can look beyond individual functions and optimise the entire value chain? A leading multinational organisation within the heavy industrial and manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Optimisation Manager to take ownership of end-to-end supply chain performance across procurement, strategic sourcing, warehousing, inventory and multimodal logistics . This is a senior, hands-on management opportunity for someone who can combine strategic thinking with operational execution and drive measurable improvements across cost, service, inventory, supplier performance and overall supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Supply Chain optimisation across Procurement, Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement strategies , including supplier negotiations, competitive sourcing and cost optimisation Drive warehouse and inventory optimisation , including WMS processes, stock controls, inventory accuracy and working-capital efficiency Manage strategic supplier and supply chain contracts , negotiating favourable commercial terms while maintaining service, quality and continuity of supply Identify inefficiencies across the supply chain and implement sustainable process improvement and cost-saving initiatives Manage multimodal logistics across Road, Rail and Sea Freight , including SADC regional movements, imports and exports Apply practical knowledge of INCOTERMS, FCL/LCL shipments and international freight requirements Strengthen supplier performance, service levels and overall supply-chain resilience Ensure strong corporate governance and compliance , including B-BBEE, environmental requirements, ISO standards and quality controls Lead and develop supply chain teams while partnering closely with operational, commercial and senior management stakeholders What You'll Need Relevant Degree or Diploma CIPS qualification advantageous Minimum 5–6 years' Supply Chain experience At least 2–3 years' management experience Strong background within Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing environments , ideally Steel, Chemical or similarly complex operations Demonstrated experience across Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Warehousing and Logistics Strong commercial and contract negotiation capability Practical exposure to SADC regional logistics, imports/exports and multimodal freight Working knowledge of SAP, SYSPRO or SAGE Microsoft Dynamics exposure would be advantageous Strong understanding of governance, compliance and quality-driven operating environments The Person We're Looking For This opportunity will suit a strong, commercially minded Supply Chain professional who is comfortable challenging existing processes and driving change.
