Firgrove Industrial Estate: Manufacturing / Engineering concern is seeking to employ a Junior Manufacturing Accountant / Production Planner. Reporting to senior management, the candidate will form part of their young dynamic team. Duties include, but are not limited to: Accounting & Financial Administration Maintaining and processing cashbooks Calculating VAT relating to the above entities Assisting with general accounting and financial administration Preparing statutory returns Reviewing and completing supplier credit applications and agreements Production Planning & Costing Maintaining and updating product codes Assisting with weekly production planning Maintaining detailed spreadsheets relating to production cost estimates and product costing Updating and managing various production and costing schedules Preparing and maintaining ad hoc spreadsheets and reports Ensuring production and costing information is accurate, current and readily available for management purposes Requirements: Matric with relevant diploma or tertiary qualification Previous experience in an accounting environment Exposure to production planning, manufacturing, costing or production administration will be highly advantageous Strong numerical ability and an excellent understanding of figures Advanced spreadsheet / Excel skills are essential Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English Residing in the Helderberg area or within reasonable travelling distance Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy Highly organised and able to manage a variety of ongoing tasks and deadlines Able to work effectively under pressure Practical, methodical and comfortable working with large amounts of detailed information Able to work independently while also liaising closely with senior management
