Our client in the Sibasa area is looking for Van Assistant to assist the driver with the safe, efficient, and timely collection, loading, transportation, and delivery of goods to customers and designated locations, while providing professional customer service and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in deliveries, warehousing, logistics, or general labour will be advantageous. Good communication skills. Physically fit and able to lift and move goods. Reliable, punctual, and hardworking. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Good customer-service skills. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operationally required. Key Responsibilities Assist the driver with loading and offloading goods from the delivery vehicle. Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and delivery. Check goods against delivery notes, invoices, or picking documents. Assist with securing goods safely inside the vehicle. Accompany the driver on delivery and collection routes. Assist with deliveries to customers, stores, branches, or other designated locations. Obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery where required. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect goods to the driver or supervisor. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle. Assist with vehicle checks and report any defects or safety concerns. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers. Assist with navigating delivery routes and locating delivery addresses. Ensure delivery documentation is returned and submitted correctly. Perform general duties related to transport, logistics, and warehouse operations as required.
