Are you a commercially minded Cost & Management Accountant who enjoys working with numbers, analysing costs and driving business performance? Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based on the East Rand, is looking for a hands-on finance professional to join their team and play a key role in providing accurate financial and commercial insights to management. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports Perform detailed cost accounting and cost analysis Analyse production costs, variances, margins and profitability Monitor and report on material, labour and manufacturing overhead costs Assist with standard costing and product costing Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts and financial models Investigate significant cost and production variances and recommend corrective action Provide meaningful financial insights to management and operational teams Support inventory management, stock valuation and reconciliations Analyse production efficiencies, wastage and cost drivers Assist with pricing and profitability analysis Monitor financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement Prepare management packs and provide commentary on key financial results Work closely with production, procurement, sales and senior management Assist with year-end audit requirements and financial reporting Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting / Management Accounting or equivalent CIMA qualification or progress towards CIMA would be advantageous 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Strong experience in cost accounting and management accounting Experience with inventory, standard costing and variance analysis Strong Excel skills and financial modelling capability ERP experience, preferably SAP, Sage, Syspro or similar Strong analytical and commercial thinking Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with operational teams
