About this role
An established organisation operating within the construction and engineering sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its project team in Belgium. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial and contractual aspects of project changes, ensuring that variations are accurately evaluated, costed, documented and commercially managed. This position requires someone with strong construction commercial experience who is comfortable working across project management, engineering, planning, site operations and subcontractor environments. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline. Proven Quantity Surveying / commercial management experience within the construction or engineering environment. Good understanding of construction contracts, variations and claims. Experience in subcontractor commercial administration. Strong cost analysis, measurement and numerical skills. Ability to interpret contractual and project documentation. Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying, cost-control and reporting systems. Experience on complex or large-scale construction projects will be advantageous. Candidates must be willing and able to work in Belgium .
