Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the mining sector is looking for a qualified and experienced Site Manager to join their team in Machadodorp, Mpumalanga. Oversee the management of the drilling and blasting operations on his/her site in conjunction with our contractual obligation and ensure that all applicable safety and company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times, to render the highest quality services to our clients. Main Duties/Responsibilities/Key Performance Areas Responsible for the controlling of all Site related costs (Especially all Drilling and Blasting costs.) Ensure that all client requirements are met in conjunction with the contractual obligation. Establish a cooperative, collaborative relationship with the Client to ensure that mutual objectives are achieved. Proactively monitor/manage all contractual variances. Develop system/business improvement principles to ensure efficient and effective project sustainability. Build and maintain a healthy employee/employer relationship with his/her team in accordance to the company values. Direct and actively participate in planning, attraction, retention, and development of the required skills. Promote teamwork with all internal and external stakeholders. Mentor, coach and develop his/her team. Champion own development. Ensure compliance in accordance with the Mine Health & Safety Act, Explosives Act and etc. Required to meet the Client production targets within the confines of the law and applicable regulations. Ensure that the highest level of performance and discipline is maintained by all employees on site. Managing conflict Performance driven Responsibility & initiating action Managing Relationships Objective setting Formal Qualifications and Job-Related Experience Grade 12 (with Mathematics) and/or Equivalent Qualification Business/Project Management related Degree or Diploma A minimum of 8 to 10 years proven experience within the Drilling and Blasting opencast mining industry in a Management Role Certificates of competency for Opencast Blasting or Surface Rock breaking Certificate. (Blasting Ticket) Advanced quantitative and numeric skills Proficient in English: Read, Write, Speak Must be able to work shifts and/or emergency callouts Valid Drivers’ License Good interpersonal skills and work ethic Problem solving and decision-making skills are crucial The ideal candidate must be mature and act responsible, should have good communication skills, be able to work independently and in a team, a strong desire to learn new skills, experience in the total Mining, Drilling and Blasting spectrum, be able to multi task and be deadline driven. Preference will be given to candidates residing within the local surrounding areas.
