A Manufacturing Concern in JHB South is seeking a Maintenance Head (Machining) . Qualification, Certifications & Knowledge: Education Level: Grade 12 Millwright Trade certificate Fanuc Knowledge Experience: CNC experience 5 years Supervisory experience Competencies: Oral and written communication skills in English language Leadership skills with the ability to lead remote and cross-functional teams Organizational agility Negotiation skills Analytical skills Presentation skills Project management skills Administrative: Control expenditure within the approved budget for plant repairs and building maintenance. Ensure daily job/time sheets are submitted timeously. Capture completed job cards on a daily basis. Submit daily attendance register and pay queries relating to time keeping. File copies of attendance registers and pay queries. Inform security through written passes before contractors enter premises. Complete accident reports for WCA when necessary. Raise purchase requisitions with the correct authorization before official H.I. orders are produced. Ensure critical spares are made stock items. Complete insurance claims due to unforeseen machine breakdowns. Responsible for planned preventative and predictive maintenance. Plan maintenance needs according to production requirements. Prioritize work daily. Supervise Employees: Supervise maintenance employees. Assign work to subordinates and instruct them on actions to take to achieve a high degree of resourcefulness and ingenuity. Ensure subordinates are equipped with the proper safety equipment to perform their functions/tasks. Motivate subordinates to achieve maximum productivity. Resolve grievances that may arise within the maintenance department. Ensure consistent application of the Code of Conduct. Liaise with HR regarding disciplinary corrective action when required. Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures to hourly paid employees. Identify training and on‑the‑job training needs for subordinates in conjunction with the Training Department. Arrange for replacements by liaising with the HR department.
