Driver (Code 10 & 14DGP) Professional | Temp | Gauteng Driver (Code 10 & 14DGP) Professional | Temp | Centurion Duties and Responsibilities: Operate company vehicles requiring a Code 10 & 14 driver's licence safely and responsibly. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Transport and deliver goods to customers, branches, warehouses, and other designated locations. Ensure goods are correctly loaded, secured, transported, and offloaded. Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, inspection checklists, and other required documentation. Verify quantities and condition of goods before and after transportation. Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor. Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, deliveries, and vehicle-related activities. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good operating condition. Adhere to company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable traffic legislation. Maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Assist with loading and offloading when required. Perform additional duties related to logistics and transportation. Clean criminal record Good knowledge of local and regional routes Minimum Requirements: Valid Code 10 & 14 driver's licence. Valid PDP and dangerous goods [3-4] years' experience as a professional driver. Good knowledge of local and regional routes. Good understanding of road safety and traffic regulations. Ability to operate commercial vehicles and good communication skills. Safely operate Code 14 & 10 vehicles, including heavy trucks and applicable combinations. Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Transport goods between warehouses, distribution centres, suppliers, and customers. Ensure cargo is correctly loaded, distributed, secured, and protected during transportation. Complete all required trip documentation, delivery notes, and logbooks. Plan routes effectively and comply with driving hours and laws. Monitor vehicle performance and report defects immediately. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with safety procedures. Communicate professionally with stakeholders and follow all company protocols. Perform additional transport-related duties as needed. 2 X Contactable references
