Key Responsibilities: Full-Function Accounting & Month-End Close: Manage end-to-end accounting operations, compile month-end reporting packs, and maintain ledger integrity across operational business units. Creditors & Reconciliation Oversight: Supervise accounts payable governance, review key supplier reconciliations, and optimize working capital disbursements. Taxation & Gaming Board Compliance: Ensure full-suite VAT compliance, manage tax returns, and enforce strict adherence to corporate policies and gaming board regulatory standards. Cost Control & Profitability Analysis: Dissect operational expenditure, identify cost-saving initiatives, and deliver actionable insights to protect and enhance operating margins. Audit Leadership & Operational Partnering: Coordinate internal and external audit pipelines, uphold internal risk controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to operational managers. Job Experience and Skills Required: Professional Qualification (Non-Negotiable): Active designation as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) is an absolute prerequisite. Post-Articles Track Record: A minimum of 1+ years of post-articles commercial finance experience. Technical Domain Expertise: Solid, proven command of VAT legislation, statutory tax compliance, and financial reporting standards. Explicit experience supervising accounts payable and supplier reconciliations. Sound understanding of internal financial controls and regulatory audit frameworks.
